Directions: Highway 95S from Fallon 71.4 miles to Hawthorne; continue east on Highway 95S out of Hawthorne for 35.8 miles to Mina; turn right on 11th Street, which is actually the other end of Garfield Flat Road; continue on Garfield Flat Rd heading generaly west for 8.2 miles; road forks, take left (south) fork for 2.9 miles; turn left (south) on local road for approximately 0.9 miles

What Was

In 1890 an English company bought the Garfield Mine and erected a 10 stamp mill 9 miles to the south. Roughly 5,000 tons of ore were treated by this mill. (Mines of Churchill and Mineral County)
