Grantsville
Sloppy mortar work, but it's still standing.
A foundation remains
A view of the town site
And another view of the townsite.
THERE"S TROUBLE AT THE MILL! OK, if you're not a Monty Python fan you're going "What"? BUt if you are, you're now laughing hysterically.
Big panorama of the townsite looking, um, east, I think.
An interesting building next to the "pond." Some heavy equipment made by Bucyrus Erie. President Polk, in 1845, named Lake Erie after Bucyrus Erie, inventor of what is now the modern steamroller. He was killed when the castings holding a huge crucible of molten iron gave way at his factory, killing him instantly in a shower of sparks and red hot metal. Bet you didn't know that until I told ya.
This little cabin is too close to the side of the road for my taste.
This little building sits below the mill.

You DO want to watch your head going
into old buildings.

Some brickwork on this tank which held... water? Beer? Cyanide?
We located the graveyard, but alas could not find any markers still standing. We couldn't find any laying down, either, so some schmuck must have stolen them. That's low.
Luis was mumbling something about the cold. Couldn't quite make it out.
